Volunteer
Giving back will improve your wellbeing, equip you with skills for the future, and help you make a positive impact on the lives of young people
Scouting in Andover is only possible thanks to the dedication of our amazing volunteers. Whether you can give a little time or a lot, there’s a place for you in our team.
Why Volunteer with Us?
- Inspire Young People – Help shape the future by supporting young people to develop skills for life.
- Make Friends – Join a welcoming team of like-minded adults and enjoy a sense of community.
- Learn New Skills – From first aid to leadership, you’ll gain valuable experience and training.
- Flexible Roles – Whether you’re great at organising, handy with DIY, skilled in admin, or simply happy to make the tea, there’s a role for you.
No Experience? No Problem!
You don’t need to have been a Scout (or even camped in a tent!) to get involved. We provide training and support for all our volunteers.
Ways You Can Help
- Be a leader or assistant – Work directly with young people in weekly meetings.
- Help behind the scenes – Support admin, fundraising, or maintenance tasks.
- Share a skill or hobby – Come in for a one-off session to share your passion.
- Join the district team – Help manage and guide the future of Scouting in the district.
