Network

What is Scout Network?

Scout Network is the final section in Scouting, open to anyone aged 18 to 25, whether they’ve been in Scouts before or are brand new to it. It’s a flexible, self-led programme designed for young adults who want to keep developing skills, supporting others, and having fun as part of a community.

Network members organise their own programme with the support of the District, often balancing Scouting around work, uni, or other commitments.

What do Network members do?

In Network, you can:

  • Plan and take part in outdoor adventures, hikes, and international expeditions
  • Gain top awards like the King’s Scout Award, Explorer Belt, and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
  • Volunteer as leaders or Young Leaders’ mentors in local groups
  • Develop career-building skills in leadership, project management, and teamwork
  • Take part in national camps, socials, and service projects
  • Stay connected to Scouting while studying, working, or travelling

Why join Network?

Scout Network offers:

  • The freedom to shape your own programme and goals
  • A community of supportive, like-minded people
  • Opportunities to grow personally and professionally
  • A way to stay active, give back, and keep exploring
  • Recognition through high-level awards and achievements

Whether you want to push your limits on a mountain expedition, mentor younger Scouts, or just meet up for a social, Network offers something for everyone.
