Scouts

What are Scouts?

Scouts are young people aged 10½ to 14 who are ready to step up, take the lead, and stretch their comfort zones. Whether it’s camping under the stars, learning survival skills, or helping in the community, Scouts is where young people build confidence and resilience while having a brilliant time.

They meet in Scout Troops, usually split into smaller groups called Patrols, which encourage teamwork, leadership, and responsibility.

What do Scouts do?

At Scouts, young people get hands-on with activities like:

  • Hiking, camping, and outdoor adventures
  • Learning to cook, build shelters, and use tools safely
  • Taking part in community projects and fundraising
  • Practising first aid, navigation, and survival skills
  • Earning badges and awards that reflect their effort and progress
  • Going on international trips and big Scout camps

Why join Scouts?
