Beavers
Every week, they gather in groups called Beaver Colonies to hop, skip and jump their way through lots of different games and activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.
Beavers is the next step in Scouting where young people try new things, make friends, and learning how to make a difference in the world.
What are Beavers?
Beavers are young people aged 6 to 8 who love exploring the world around them, being active, and learning through fun. Each week, Beavers meet in Colonies, working in smaller teams called Lodges, where they learn to play together, think creatively, and support one another.
With the help of adult volunteers, Beavers get their first real taste of what it means to be part of Scouts, learning, growing, and making a difference.
What do Beavers do?
Beavers take part in a wide variety of exciting activities like:
- Outdoor adventures and nature walks
- Games, crafts, and creative challenges
- Simple cooking and practical skills
- Visits to local places and community projects
- Earning badges as they go
- Taking part in their first nights away from home
Why join Beavers?
