Squirrels
Squirrels is the first step into Scouts for 4 to 6 year olds – a place to make friends, have fun, and start exploring the world around them.
Squirrels is our youngest section in Scouts, specially designed for 4 to 6-year-olds. It’s all about making friends, having fun, and beginning to explore the big wide world through play, adventure, and simple skill-building.
What do Squirrels do?
Every week, Squirrels come together in a group called a Dray to take part in a wide range of fun, engaging activities like:
- Exploring nature and the outdoors
- Playing games and learning to work as a team
- Storytelling, songs, and crafts
- Learning how to help others
- Taking part in their very first nights away from home (when ready!)
Squirrels start learning important skills for life, such as kindness, resilience, and independence, in a safe and welcoming environment with trained adult volunteers.
